Ellen Curran Design Associates is a full service interior design firm servicing Wellesley, Dover, Weston, Sudbury, and other towns in the Boston metropolitan area. The focus of the firm is to provide up to date, unique, and creative interior design solutions that are both aesthetically pleasing and highly functional.
The firm’s slogan New Designs, Where Modern Meets Convention, embodies their philosophy of bridging the gap between conventional and modern minimalist interior design styles, and creating a highly functional version of what has been known as the ” traditional home”. The streamlining of traditional elements, and the subtle changing of shapes, colors, and materials bring this new sleek and modern design, alive. Respect for convention, and restrained modernism, is evident in the firm’s work, and has become their trademark.
Ellen Curran, the firm’s principal, believes that a consultative approach is the only way to personalize each project to her clients’ needs and lifestyles. “Taking the time to listen to each client describe their specific circumstances and preferences, is critical to developing a custom plan, and choosing the appropriate materials and furnishings for their homes”. Close attention to budget requirements, “form” and “function” in design, and meticulous attention to the “details” is all part of the firm’s execution. Their interior designs are top notch, and continually exceed their clients’ expectations.
